Our holiday started off with a trekking tour
through the hilltribes with an organised agency named third
eye travel. We found out that this agency was bit more
excpensive than others, but then again seemed more intimate, secure and
better organized than others. We stayed at local villages with other
inhabitants and our guide prepared excellent and simple food infront of
us. We also did a beautiful elephant tour (2 hours) through the river
with facinating surroundings. Our reccomendalbe tour finished off with
a bamboorafting tour (3 hours). Tip bring warm clothing along as it
will get really cold during night.
Chiang Mai itself was also very
interesting, typical and friendly people. We reccomend visiting the
Warrorot Market where you will meet mostly locals doing their shopping
and eating magnificant street food.
We
